Thanks for such a successful 2018-2019 Youth ENVISION Summit!
Held at Lake Erie Arboretum Foundation (L.E.A.F.), Frontier Park, Erie, PA

Mission Empower was thrilled to facilitate our fourth annual empowering Youth Summit, from August 15th to August 17th at the Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park.  Youth Scholars explored their strengths, built their self-esteem and welcomed many speakers on various topics:

  • Jill Hrinda-Patten, M.E.’s Executive Director – Disability History and Rights

  • Tyler Titus, Erie Board of School Directors – Diversity and Civic Engagement

  • Paige Huggins , former AmeriCorps Vista- Educating the Youth About College Preparedness

  • Julybeth Cordero, M.E.’s Office & Volunteer Coordinator – Understanding Diversity and Appreciating Cultural Differences

  • Jesse Spanogle – Empowering Youth and Challenging Them to Reach Their Dreams

A warm thanks to all of the guest speakers and staff of Mission Empower (Britney, Curtis, Jill, Julybeth and Mike) for their combined efforts to make this year’s Summit truly a success! We also want to give a huge thank you to two of our Youth Mentors, Justin and Jasmine, for jumping in and helping keep all the youth engaged. You guys are all awesome!

We look forward to watching the Youth Scholars grow in their empowerment and community engagement as they launch into adulthood.

Every year, select youth from Erie and Erie County join their friends
as we kick off the Youth ENVISION Program, with a fun and empowering Youth Summit!
