Join Senator Laughlin and a panel of local experts as they discuss the Family Care Act: bipartisan, pro-family, pro-business legislation to establish a paid family medical leave program in Pennsylvania.

As a member of the disability community, I believe that this bill could allow people with disabilities to pursue employment and allow caregivers to provide support without the risk of losing their jobs. We need a strong representation at this event to so our community’s support.

Senate Bill 580 and House Bill 1739, The PA Family Care Act

  • Allows family members to provide critical care and rehab services to elderly loved ones at home, without risking their jobs and financial security.
  • Grants parents the ability to care for their son or daughter who is recovering from a serious illness.
  • Allows workers to care for themselves following a major surgery.
  • Grants new moms and dads the chance to be there for the critical period following the birth or adoption of a child.

Tuesday, October 8th from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie.  I wanted to now share the flyer for the event with everyone, and I encourage all of you to share with any and all contacts you have in Erie / Northwestern PA!
