Free Training Opportunity:
Mission Empower is teaming up with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) for a training on Mental Health First Aid.

There are 2 opportunities to attend this free training and receive your certificate:

  • January 4, 2020 9-5, lunch provided
  • January 13 & 14, 2020 9-1 must attend both days, lunch provided

Why take Mental Health First Aid? Because 1 in 5 U.S. adults will face a mental health challenge every year. Educate yourself with this free 8-hour course that will teach you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of a mental illness.

We all experience emotional ups and downs from time to time caused by events in our lives. Mental health conditions go beyond these emotional reactions and become something longer lasting. They are medical conditions that cause changes in how we think, feel, and behave. With proper treatment, people can realize their full potential, cope with the stresses of life, work productively and meaningfully contribute to the world.

Participants must be 18 years old and will gain an understanding of the challenges and impact mental health conditions can have on your family, friends, coworkers, students, and other loved ones. Please contact us to register, for more details, or stop by for fliers to give to anyone interested!
